The Award is designed to encourage emerging industry leaders to contribute their ideas and vision for lot feeding at a national level.
ALFA seeks and fosters qualities that empower participants to think outside the box, to be bold in their ideas and continuously develop and challenge their thinking about the Australian lot feeding industry and its future potential. Young people who aspire to become future industry leaders are encouraged to apply for this prestigious industry award.
The Medal, proudly sponsored by Zoetis, recognises and awards individuals within the feedlot sector that are demonstrating excellence in feedlot operation skills and who are applying skills or knowledge as a result of participating in, or graduating from, training.
Australian feedlots are vital to the fabric of rural and regional Australia by creating jobs, supporting families, and contributing to local economies and the environment.
This award recognises and rewards those feedlots that are actively nourishing their local communities and environment by going above and beyond to support their community, that ‘give back’ and better the environment around them.
All BeefEx exhibitors with an innovative product or service are encouraged to enter the Australian Lot Feeders’ Association’s Innovation Award – designed to acknowledge excellence in innovation from companies supplying and servicing the lot feeding sector.
Integrated Animal Production (IAP) is a national consultancy firm that has sponsored this award; recognising innovative products and services available to Australian feedlots.
The Communicate Your Research Competition is designed to promote excellence and scientific professionalism for the advancement of communication between tertiary institutions and the Australian cattle feedlot industry.
The competition aims to provide students an opportunity to share their research in relevant intensive animal and veterinary science disciplines with the Australian feedlot industry.
