The Australian feedlot sector is swapping the boots and heading to the beach for the biennial gathering of BeefEx, celebrating the Australian grain fed beef industry.

ALFA President Grant Garey said that BeefEx has evolved significantly over the years in both size and stature to become THE pivotal forum on the industry calendar.

“BeefEx is the one event that encompasses the entire spectrum of Australia’s grain fed beef industry – lot feeders, industry leaders, politicians, chefs, government, service providers, exporters, processors, food manufacturers, scientists, researchers and support industries,” said Grant.

“Initially established for ALFA members, the scope of the event has broadened significantly to provide benefit and appeal to a broad cross section of the industry, and we are looking to elevating the event further in 2026,” he said.

“In 2026 BeefEx will be held for the first time in September and will move to a new destination at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre (GCCEC), providing broader appeal by combining knowledge and thinking with time away from the feedlot,” said Grant.

“The move to the Gold Coast opens up so many new opportunities as an exciting new destination, bigger exhibition space, and a vibe to match all the hype and energy of the tourism mecca.”

“Expectations are for a record turnout in the realms of 900 delegates with a strong trade contingent of more than 60 exhibitors already locked in for the 2026 event,” Mr Garey said.

“The vast expanse of the GCCEC creates an incredible opportunity to showcase large machinery, bespoke sites and increased trade participation further enhancing the BeefEx 2026 exhibition space.”

“Supersized is a word that comes to mind when thinking about BeefEx 2026.  With planning well underway and we look forward to welcoming industry members in September.”

Early bird registrations are available until 15 August 2026.
