Caitlin Herbert
Managing Director at Gundamain Pastoral Company

Caitlin Herbert is a sixth-generation farmer and third-generation lot feeder at Gundamain, a diversified family property near Eugowra in Central West NSW that has been in the Herbert family for over 150 years. Gundamain operates a cattle feedlot alongside an Angus breeding herd, prime lamb and wool enterprises, and broadacre cropping and hay production. Caitlin holds a Master of Science in Agriculture and completed a Nuffield Scholarship in 2024 investigating the Australian feedlot industry’s role in drought proofing the beef supply chain. Caitlin works across all areas of the business, with a particular interest in livestock procurement, animal health, and quality assurance programs. Gundamain was an early adopter of the Coopers Bovilis MH+IBR vaccine and has incorporated it into their health program for more than 15 years. Through her role at Gundamain, Caitlin has been involved in the practical application of pre-vaccination strategies for producers to support cattle health, welfare, and performance once they enter the feedlot.
