About Beefex 2008
BeefEx is the Australian Lot Feeders Association ‘pinnacle event’. Held only once every two years, it brings together lot feeders and their associated industries and suppliers from all over Australia for two days of conferencing, networking and information exchange.
In a BeefEx there is something for everyone. The program offers contrast from big picture to innovative detail and nuts and bolts practical elements, with the inclusion of several speakers that will not only entertain but also inspire. We take delegates on a journey that spans strategists, economists, internationals, lot feeders (of course) – and even yes, the odd “left fielder”!
The event is supported by an extensive trade show, is preceded by a golf tournament for those who enjoy the opportunity of playing on a world-renowned golf course (and the chance to get to know your fellow delegates) and sprinkled throughout the program are various awards, industry ‘moments’ and special events that make simply BeefEx what it is.
In the face of some big industry challenges, BeefEx 2008 is tipped to be a sell-out. We have reserved every available room at Royal Pines Resort and will offer over-flow accommodation to the nearby resorts of Royal Woods and Radisson at the same rates. Your accommodation can only be reserved via your delegate registration so we encourage your prompt registration ensure your accommodation needs are met.

Beefex logistics:
Welcome Function - Tuesday Evening
Bill James and his team at Performance Feeds provides an entertaining welcome function on Tuesday evening from 6.30pm. Please note this does not include dinner and we suggest you choose one of the many Royal Pines restaurants for dinner with friends that evening following the completion of the welcome function. Bookings are recommended.
Partners' Package
Following the highly successful partners’ package in 2006, BeefEx 2008 will see an even bigger partners program, the detail for which is still being finalised.
Breakfast
A buffet or continental breakfast is available each morning at the Royal Pines Resort Parkview Restaurant. The cost of this will be billed to your room and payable on departure.
Golf
The QSS Ambrose Golf Tournament takes place as the immediate pre-curser to BeefEx. This is a great opportunity to network and enjoy the opportunity that Royal Pines affords. If you are intending on joining the Golf Tournament you may prefer to check in the night prior, on Monday, October 8, otherwise you will need to be at the Club House by 10am on Tuesday ready for the 10.30 start. Green Fees must be paid up front with your booking but they are fully refundable up until September 30.
Children
Kid’s Club crèche and baby sitting services are available for both days and evenings. Prices vary according to the age and numbers of children. Bookings are by separate form and on request direct with the conference organisers. All childcare arrangements must be completed by August 30.
